Major multinational consumer online business is recruiting a The Media Relations Manager for it’s London office.
Position
He/she will be responsible for securing widespread, favourable media coverage in top-tier U.K. media and will help support local PR programmes within Europe. He/She will work closely with business leaders and build contacts and links with news media, maintaining contacts and relationships with those who write about the Company. The successful candidate will be an integral part in the company’s success which provides a fantastic environment for professional growth and a great opportunity for a media relations professional to make their mark.
Responsibilities:
• Become the lead spokesperson for all incoming enquiries from news media regarding TripAdvisor and other network brands.
• Manage proactive and reactive Media Relations activity, including agency management.
• Strategic responsibility and development of all media placements.
• Specialise and develop proactive creative pitches and release ideas and conduct research, develop lists, surveys, etc., primarily to support localised PR efforts in the U.K. but with some European activity also.
• Be responsible for the writing and editing of press releases.
• Be responsible for the complete media cycle of handling outgoing media placements, specifically focusing on short-lead and long-lead publications, onlines/blogs and national/top television and radio media.
Requirements

* Outstanding consumer-oriented writing skills.
• Stellar oral communications skills.
• Extraordinary attention-to-detail and ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and shifting priorities.
• Ability to meet or exceed deadlines.
• English mother tongue with a second European language desirable, but not essential.
