The company offers a broad spectrum of personalized products on 19 localized websites to customers in more than 120 countries. It has been one of the best performing IPOs during the past few years and its quarterly revenue rose over 30 percent year over year. The European market is growing very fast and becoming more and more important. To help the company grow, we are currently looking for an experienced director for the European head office in Barcelona: European Director Product Development e-Services/Consumer products (m/f).
Position
In this exciting position you will manage a small team for the conceptualization, optimization and expansion of the company's product line (e-services/ consumer products) for all European countries. To meet product objectives you will recruit and grow the team as soon as needed. You will proactively identify areas of opportunity. Your goal is to build a comprehensive suite of products that will position our client as the clear leader in the market of customized products for small businesses.
Requirements
You have several years significant work experience in product development with a strong preference for experience in an e-commerce environment which offers specific services or products to small businesses. You know how to work with 3rd parties / suppliers to bring new products to life. The international team in Barcelona is looking forward to a capable product developer to complete the European Management, every nationality is welcome. The company helps with the relocation process.
This role requires:
* Bachelors degree; preferred majors: Economics, Marketing, Business or other relevant topics
* Professional experience and comprehensive know-how in product development is a must, preferably in relation to consumer goods or in an e-business or telco environment
* Excellent analytical skills - ability to build excel models to aid in business decision-making
* Structured, logical thinking even when working in a fast-paced environment under tight timeframes
* Strong entrepreneurial instinct with a focus on end-results
* Experience in leading a team and motivating the team to bring them to new heights
* Fluent English
