Position
Some of the key responsibilities:
- Drive the overall design and development of the web site to ensure an excellent customer experience
- Develop a content and merchandising plan engaging key stakeholders to ensure it is cohesive with the overall marketing plan
- Work with the Internet Marketing Manager to convert traffic to the site
- Optimise the web site in terms of functionality, search configuration, merchandising (cross sells / up sells) and content to increase sales
- Develop non-product content and ensure consistency of this across the site
- Enrich product content with marketing content, buying guides etc to increase conversion rate
- Manage internal stakeholders and external third party relationships
Requirements
Some of the key skills needed:
- Demonstrated understanding and appreciation of online retailing
- Proven experience in website user experience
- Experience in developing content and merchandising plans
- Direct experience in managing content and merchandising activities and analysing performance
- Project management experience
- Ability to manage, inspire and motivate people both direct reports, peers and cross-functional team members
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Business degree or equivalent
- 5+ years experience in online marketing, merchandising and content management
- Knowledge of ecommerce platforms, online merchandising technology, content and search management tools management
